Glupinickname<p>After finishing "Snuff!", I'm reading"Guards! Guards!", Pratchett's first <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/Discworld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Discworld</span></a> novel featuring Sam Vimes and the Night Watch.</p><p>That novel hits far differently two decades after I first read it . I've been reading Terry Pratchett's #Discworld novel "Snuff!" over the past few weeks.

For years, I found Pratchett's villains to be over-the-top and cartoonish. This was fine for humorous novels but it nevertheless felt underwhelming.

Little did I understand that Pratchett was merely depicting the meanness, stupidity, petty cruelty and selfishness of evil people in real life.

You live and learn.
