Ältere MacBooks zeigen manchmal einen fleckigen Screen. Im Netz geistern einige Anleitungen herum, was dagegen zu tun ist. Lohnt sich das?
This hour's random desktop background on my #MacbookPro is this "What I Do" graphic I threw together quite a few years ago when these were in vogue.
I didn't screengrab the desktop because the files would have covered up the words, so this is the original.
@mozes So now that #SlackwareARM is running on Apple silicon via paravirtualization, is there any sort of roadmap towards getting it to run on bare metal? With all the work the Asahi project has put into Linux's M-series Mac support, it shouldn't be too terrible to implement. If Slackware ARM did ever end up supporting bare metal Macs, I might be inclined to pick up a MacBook Pro and be a guinea pig tester ;)

Umzug vom alten #MacbookPro Intel auf neuen #MacBookAir M3
Altes #Lightroom (Version 6? 5? Kann gerade nicht nachsehen. Alt. Sehr alt jedenfalls)
- am Intel Mac lief es noch mit kleinen UI Bugs (Regler waren blau)
- am M3 bekommt man es mit Rosetta gestattet - dann aber flackert es einige Sekunden wie verrückt und nach ein paar Klicks schmiert es ab 
Da liegt also jetzt mal eine neue Lösung an … Mal schauen was wir machen
Linux 6.15 will support Apple Z2 Touch Bar
Linux 6.15 is growing up with more and more improvements and support for more devices, including Apple MacBook laptops with the Z2 Touch Bar. This is for the Apple Silicon devices that rely on the Z2 protocol to make the Touch Bar work on macOS, but Linux 6.15 will have support for the Touch Bar in such devices.
The apple_z2 driver was merged to the kernel prior to the first release candidate. This driver enables Linux to utilize the Apple Touch Bar in MacBooks that use the Silicon hardware using the Z2 protocol. It was developed by the Asahi Linux developers as they’re enhancing the experience of Linux desktop in such devices.
When this Linux version gets released to the public, which should happen after several release candidates, users with MacBook laptops with the Touch Bar will be able to use it in Linux distributions.
As an aside, we expect that Linux 6.15 RC1 will be out today, provided that everything goes fine during development. This is so that curious people and advanced users will be able to test this version of Linux.

Schon spannend wie auch die 13“ immer flacher und kleiner wurden, die M-Chip MacBookAir nochmal schlanker und leichter. Na gut: 2011 war noch ein DVD Brenner drin ;)
Das alte #MacBookPro soll heute durch ein #MacBookAir ersetzt werden - prompt funktioniert das „Klick“ am MBP nicht mehr und ich kann keine Fenster verschieben 
Dachte erst an aufgeblähten Akku - aber ich kann sehen wie ich das Pad bewegen kann.
Lösung: PRAM Reset! (Cmd-Alt-P-R beim einschalten gedrückt halten)

A summer intern showed up with one of these. When she opened Pagemaker 1.0 and turned a 12 point "A" into a 72 point "A', I was hooked on Apple forever.

Meine Meinung:
PRO: Spannendes Konzept! z.B. die Entwicklungsumgebung zeigt dann Tasten zum Debuggen etc. an was sehr bequem sein kann
CONTRA: … blöderweise nur für die App die gerade aktiv ist! Debugge ich also eine iOS-App und habe den iPhone-Simulator aktiv => keine Debugging-Tasten mehr um mit Fokus auf der App im Hintergrund/Fenster daneben durch Zeilen zu springen
Etwas weiter gedacht wäre das eine geniale Sache (gewesen)

I’m currently decluttering and found my old #MacBookPro. I figured it wasn’t good for anything except recycling at this point but then I noticed Apple will still buy them back so... I figured I’d see if any fedi friends have need of an Early 2015 MacBook Pro.
I’m sorry if it’s so ancient that the offer is silly but if you just wanted to check emails/apply to jobs/write a book/etc. it would still probably serve you well.

This hour's random desktop background image on my #MacbookPro is a shot of "Katy" - my former #Cherokee235 - and I on short final to the rarely-used RWY 2 at Hillsboro, OR (KHIO).
If you look carefully at the airspeed indicator, you'll see it pegged at 70 mph. That was the sweet spot for landing this Cherokee, as the big "Hershey Bar" wings provided a good bit of ground effect over the numbers. I barely had to flare it, seemed almost like autoland.

While certainly faster, I'll bet a nice green John Deere 9620RX would do the job for far cheaper. And much less NTSB and FAA paperwork.

If you do not know about Basler, they do a spinner to tailcone rebuild of DC-3/C-47 airframes and hang a pair of Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67R engines with Max continuous 1,220 shaft H.P., and add a full Genesys glass avionics package.
The BT-67 is well-known around the world for making a stout and dependable airframe even more impressive.
Latest addition and final device to replace the #Intel driven #macbook.
