The solar-powered Quarto project is making progress. The pre-render python script to dither and downsize images works :).
Context:
Quarto is a scientific/ technical publishing system. Among other things, it allows you to create static websites from a mixture of R/ Python/ Julia/ ObservableJS and Markdown. I'm trying to create a Quarto setup for a static website with a very minimal footprint to run on a small solar-powered server.

What is different to my normal instance?
1. It is all #solar powered (server, network switch, router) so you can feel warm and fuzzy inside
2. It’s all #solarpowered so sometimes it will fall offline if there hasn’t been any sun, this isn’t a bad thing as you probably had other things to do with your day apart from social media
3. The instance converts images to greyscale and makes them smaller, this is good as it’s less data but also you don’t want all these fancy colors from distracting you
