I ordered two lights from Lowe's last week and some external antennas on Amazon.

I already have some mini radios from Rokland I panic bought before the tariffs.

Picked up some gorilla brand waterproof caulking at the hardware store for $8 after work today.

Going to assemble it and see how the battery holds up in my partially shady back yard.

If this works it easily could be a really low cost solar node for under $50.

I removed my #meshtastic solar node because I don't want to get it damaged during construction work, and now I need another use for my collection of 18650s

Sich mit Leuten über #Meshtastic (*) zu unterhalten ist wie beim Amateurfunk. Man redet eigentlich nur über die Meshtastic Technik die man hat und wie gut man sich empfängt.

for the last 24 hours my T1000 #meshtastic sheep tracker has showed the location of my herd, today the GPS only shows one location and refuses to update.

All nodes show the same incorrect GPS.

Only 1 node is allowed to gather phone location data, the T-1000 has onboard GPS and the G1-station has fixed gps.

How do I fix this?

Are there any projects to run a single radio to serve as a repeater/router for both #meshtastic and #meshcore ? (Courtesy tag to #reticulum )

Cool to see healthy competition between projects and all but it's a shame to have to run two radios to support both projects.

Alternatively, meshtastic is a more mature project so it might be better for them to add a routing layer.

#BaWue wächst langsam. Wir haben ein paar #Meshtastic hotspots, die sich hoffentlich bald verbinden. Das zweite #ARIG Relais wird bald einen Client erhalten. Nächste Woche bestelle ich mir eine externe high-gain #Antenne für mein Flachdach.

What's with roughly half of rx packets I see on #meshtastic being bad? Just poor signal or local congestion?

Nicht alle #Meshtastic Knoten werden auf der Karte angezeigt. Aber 75 Knoten in #Sachsen, #SachsenAnhalt und #Thüringen beeindrucken mich riesig. Die größten Knotenwolken sind u.a. in und um #Erfurt, #Leipzig, #Halle, #Jena, #Weimar und #Chemnitz.

Coming soon, me going on about building a #meshtastic node on my roof, or in a tree. Followed by a router on a mountain.

I don’t entirely know what to do with them yet, but I flashed my little #meshtastic nodes and they already have 186 friends??
