"Ricky" is a 1983 song by American parody artist "Weird Al" Yankovic, duetting with voice actress #TressMacNeille. It is a parody of the 1982 song "#Mickey" by #ToniBasil, which itself, is a cover of #MikeChapman and #NickyChinn's "Kitty" recorded by #Racey. The song focuses on #LucyAndRickyRicardo in 1950's #sitcom #ILoveLucy, and their general discussions and hobbies within the show. "Ricky" was one of the last two tracks added to ""Weird Al" Yankovic".

dream

The sitcom Soap never got a real ending, but in my dream, the show, how multi-generational, had a transitioning cast, some old, some new. The Campbell had won the lottery and moved to a huge mansion. The Tates had all gone their separate ways, and Benson had moved into the Campbell mansion. Jody's daughter Wendy, now 10, was living with them, and in this final episode, Wendy had smuggled another girl in to live with her.

The final few minutes of the show was montage of the characters, each living their life, with a slow rendition of "Life Goes On" (the theme song to Empty Nest) played over it.

The idea was that while Soap was ending, we (the audience) knew that the wacky adventures would continue, but that ultimately, it would be okay.

"Welcome Back" is a popular record that was the #themeSong of the 1970s American television #sitcom #WelcomeBackKotter. Written and recorded by former #LovinSpoonful frontman #JohnSebastian, it reached No. 1 on the #Billboard #Hot100 chart for one week in May 1976, after only five weeks on the chart, and also topped the #adultContemporary chart (the show itself had become an instant ratings success upon its premiere the previous fall).

Catching up on the Night Court reboot. Who ever put season 3 together committed reboot malpractice. It's barely tolerable after a few episodes in. Shame. Season 2 was better than season 1. Had hopes for season 3.

The cast is excellent, except Jake they boyfriend. Horrible actor. Horrible storylines, jokes, and punchlines.

TODAY IN QUEER TV HISTORY - 1/31/1980

On the sitcom SOAP, Jodie (Billy Crystal), a gay man who'd had a one-night fling with a woman friend, learns that Carol plans to fight him for custody of their daughter, launching an unprecedented months-long story line about a queer parent fighting to keep custody of their child.

Ultimately, the judge would award custody to Jodie, finding him the more fit parent, despite the homophobic arguments used by Carol's lawyer.
