I intend to commission an android app, to run on GrapheneOS, to respond to a user-assigned NFC tag - regardless of the display or telephone state - by toggling the flashlight state (I.E.: either turning it on if it is off, or off if it is on).
I would prefer it to be open source, as simple as possible, and well documented.
I have not the first clue about coding, so it would need to be so stone-simple that I could maintain it (or possibly outsource the job) when required.
The use case is to allow https://dimple.io buttons to toggle the flashlight.
I will probably find a forum like upwork to post the job online, but I'm open to suggestion, and thought I should promulgate it in the fediverse incase anyone would care to name their price.
If you can find it in your heart, please boost for visibility. My hope is to provide a route to single-button-press torch-toggle without needing to give an app accessibility-features access (which allows apps to read anything on the screen, and which I think should not be used as a solution for something as frivolous as this).
If anyone wants Too Much Information, this has been discussed in the grapheneOS forum *ad nauseum*: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/21241-flashlight-toggle-upon-long-press-power-button-req-for-advice
If anyone cares to give me advice about how/where to pose the question (or just reply with better hashtags!) it will be gratefully received.
