Nearly 5 million Omani lived under the rule of approximately 10,000 Chosen. To work for their masters, most had to undergo daily security processing at checkpoints such as these. Average processing times were 4-6 hours.

The Chosen did not have anti-gravity, but repulsor tech was integrated into almost all of their air vehicles., and was effective for things at the "large car" size or bigger.

Beyond the size differences, the main differentiation between archons and greater archons was that greater archons were Openers - Capable of bridging the gap between paracologies in a way that seemed effortless to base humanity.

Provider Oasis -
No one could control becoming an archon, much less a greater archon, and for many, losing their "natural senses", as well as simply breathing, caused a disconnection with the rest of humanity that made archons lonely and withdrawn.
