It is never too early to plan for the Cyclo-Cross World Championships!

In January 2026, Hulst in the Netherlands will host a weekend of the best racing. The atmosphere at the CX Worlds is incredible. I got hooked from my first visit in 2009.

Hello Mastodon. We have just moved server to social.vivaldi.net and would like to introduce ourselves here.

Bristol CX is a small, informal cycling club in the UK whose members race cyclo-cross.

We usually compete in the #WesternLeague and occasionally #WessexLeague, #NationalTrophy and Three Peaks Race (#3PCX).

We also organise races, most recently at Upton Cheyney between Bristol and Bath.

We’re looking forward to joining everyone here and especially any other cycling clubs out there.

Another #CycloCross race, another broken #BOA shoe affecting a rider’s performance.

I would have thought that by now manufacturers would have decided they had seen enough of their products not being up to the job in this type of racing. This design is unfortunately very pervasive. It is very hard, if not impossible, to find quality shoes without BOA.

I don’t know, but suspect that having spare shoes in the pit is a relatively new development.

@WordPress Ah well, I guess the theme authors just completely disregard their users and instead just build in some default static elements that nobody cares about. Those need to be removed in order to have real navigation (and real other elements such as headings, content) to be shown! So you need to spend hours to set it up instead of just smooth couple of clicks. Absolute #UX nightmare, thanks #Wordpress. #usability #cx #gutenberg #webdev
