They aren't always in the correct order on the DVD.</p><p>One thing I notice when doing this is how many episodes I recognise and can match to the correct title after just seing a few seconds of it. I may have watched DS9 too many times? 😁</p><p>Nah. Still, the model doesn't know what to do with text and numbers on Star Trek style displays.</p><p>Here it's generating a lot of number-looking glyphs. Only one column actually looks like numbers, and I guess there's a threshold where it recognises them.</p><p>The first image is the upscale, the second is the source DVD. Veronica Olsen 🏳️🌈🇳🇴🌻<p>My re-run of the Star Trek DS9 HD upscale job with the Iris v3 model is finally nearing the end. I'm upscaling the last few episodes of season 7, and the compression job that runs on the output is now in season 5. Especially mapping all the audio and subtitle tracks, and part of the work to handle cropping and SAR and DAR settings.</p><p>It's getting really easy to do! The model is Iris v3, an update of v1 that I used for my Star Trek Deep Space Nine upscale project.</p><p>After tweaking the settings on the pilot episode, which is probably the worst quality of them all, I've gotten some pretty great results.
