Heather Evans
Lawns are done, I’m hot 🥵 & sweaty 😓, but at least everything looks tidy & boy - the lawn is very thick & lush after the heat, the rain, more heat cycles. I have a fair bit of weeding to get done by the look of things as well. It feels like this is the tropics lately with the amount of growth of everything. I thought I’d removed all the baby peaches of my mini peach tree due to the ongoing issues with fruit fly every year. Today though I noticed a fallen peach so had a look & it seems I missed quite a few. Interestingly the fallen peach while not ripe, looked ok. I cut it open & it’s fine. So maybe the fact the fruit is late producing this year it’s avoided them 🤷🏼♀️. I don’t know, but I’ll take it. Saying that large mortgage lifter tomato variety which has been good up until now is showing signs of fruit fly piercings in the new fruit coming in - damnit. I may have to pull it out. #GardenWork #FruitFly #Mowing. I’m sharing a picture of the hail damage to the top of my gazebo from the storm a couple of nights ago, this is just one panel of 6 - they all look like this ☹️.
