To do a completely different #bloomscrolling from my visit to #Saguaro #NationalPark near #Tucson #Arizona, I present to blooms of the Saguaro #Cactus itself! These are pretty hard to photograph as they are usually found on the tips of the branches, which are usually pretty high off the ground. This is just fine for an important pollinator, the Lesser Long-nosed #Bat. This #endangered species not only pollinates the cactus at night, but it disperses its seeds by air when it later feeds on the cactus fruit. Here’s some more information:

For #bloomscrolling I thought I’d post some things I’ve seen this week in #Arizona. First, there are these amazing #roses that are being cultivated in the #garden area of Tumacácori National Historical Park. This was a very old #mission, so it’s possible that this is an old variety of rose. The color was striking!
