It's as clear as broth that even one of the anonimous authors of D*'s sporial Cyberspace Guide would never ever attempt to write down, or worth explain, any other of the unwritten laws of the trolling community, largely respected as the biggest unknown threat in the whole multycyberuniwiere - MCUW. Actually more feared then the unknown unknown movement - UUM, the mostly unknown movement MUM or the mostly unknown hiddenones - MUH. The fact that the author of chapter 1 never came back to write any other comment or chapter, to like any kind of comment about or trolling attack directed against chapter 1 is a proof for some that he was literally whipped off of the complete multycyberuniwiere. Some insidetrolls deny those assumptions by pointing out that it's a basic rule for any kind of trolling troll that you may have several accounts, also that as every troll you share some fibers of voyeurism and there for nothing is for sure. Obviously there are no proofs for these insidetroll information, may be they where whipped out also.
Anyway, perhaps the only thing that can be stated till know is that, chapter 1 exists, D* exists and their for a hole bunch of things may occur. For example, as it is most likely to assume, their may be efforts to attach a whole lot of written rules to the #TSGDC, despite the fact that chapter one states clearly that their are no rules others than the enumerated ones at his end. And like in normal life, the ones who try to find chapter 1 by scrolling, commonly loose the patients before they find the rules, their meanings and all their implications.
So, will we become to know about the existents of some of the most remote and awesome pod's out their in the cyberspace? Could it be probably possible to know if the saying is true that the one how wrote chapter 1 really was a FGAFD and received threats long before the publication of chapter 1 by one of the unmembered trolling community? Have the comments in the third chapter of the slapstick acronym list become true already, are they just another weird imagination of some clash of culture minded anonimous pseudonyms in the unicybermultywiere - UCMW? It's more likely to assume that the #TSGDC is condemned to extinction like all the other in-countable attempts of seeding any kind of community work on planet earth, not because it is located in a virtual virtuality but because evolution is not directional, their for direction not exists and nothing can grow.

Everyone should give a s** on orthographic errors because they only proof that the buzzeld mind of the ones who can't concentrate on the content is just to structured.

@utopiArte Tribalism and brand worship are key factors in all this, yes. While some Fediverse users choose the software they use by what suits them best, especially feature-wise, others behave more like fanbois and fangurls. They cling hard to what they use like someone who has been driving the same car brand for decades out of principle and out of being convinced that everything this brand makes is superior to all the competition.
This seems particularly wide-spread amongst Mastodon users. First, when they joined, they were eager to defend Mastodon against 𝕏 as much better. When they learned about Bluesky and Threads, they started defending Mastodon against these two as much better. But the more they learn what else exists in the Fediverse, like Misskey and its forks or Friendica and its family, they even feel compelled to defend Mastodon against these as well as much better.
In addition, there's instance tribalism. "My home instance is better than yours" or even "my instance is better than all the others!" Not the only reason why Mastodon users refuse to move to a better-suited instance, much less better-suited software, but one of them. That is, this seems more of an issue on Lemmy where users are being judged according to which instance they're on.
But there's also convenience. Moving instances is inconvenient. Always staying on the same instance is convenient. Also, having to configure your account is inconvenient. The default settings being perfect is convenient.
Why do Mastodon users demand all kinds of features be added to Mastodon although they're readily available elsewhere in the Fediverse? Not only because most of them don't know that these features are available in the Fediverse outside of Mastodon, but also because they want these features without going where the features are. They want the features to come where they are. They want the features on the instance that they're on right now.
And if these features are optional, they have to be activated by default on their home instance. Oh, and if they don't like a feature, Mastodon must not add it, or at the very least, it must be off by default on their home instance. Pasos para acomodar un celular #android de manera sencilla:
Guardar todos los datos personales aparte, por ejemplo con cable #USB o con KDEnlive en una computadora.
Usar el celular una semana mas como si nada, para darse tiempo de acordarse de todo lo que se pueda complicar reseteando el celular y con ello tu vida digital a cero de fabrica. Una semana mas o menos no hace la diferencia, total la tia HermanoGrande ya sabe mas de ti que tu.
Datos y detalles importantes a tener en cuenta y a guardar:
contraseñas, en particular del correo electrónico de gmail
2FA autentificación ay opciónes de software libre para esta funcion
accesos a sitios y servicios
accesos a servicios de pago, bancos, mercadoLibre y todos aquellos En particular para dichos servicios de relacion comercial y/o monetaria siempre se debería tener un planB, teniendo acceso desde un desktop, al menos con un pendrive #linux por ejemplo.
Pasoso para resetear el celular a valores de fabrica:
Resetear el celular según instrucciones de fabricante o el internet.
Reiniciar el celular, sin la #SIM ni accesso #wifi a internet.
Responder todas las preguntas iniciales con NO! Hay una, quizas dos preguntas que se tienen que afirmar, si no el proceso de iniciar el celular "por primera ves" no funciona. Son las preguntas que aceptan las condiciones de uso del propio android y eventualmente del fabricante.
Ahora tenemos un celular arrancado lo mas limpio posible. Este proceder, ademas de dar tremenda tranquilidad, es mucho mas seguro y mas rápido que ir desinstalando APP's y elementos.
.. e ir revisando aplicación por aplicación de google y proveedores de mas, inclusive #chrome (!), y seleccionar en cada APP las opciones "parar" y "desactivar".
Eventualmente conviene dejar #googleMaps, la unica APP justificable debido al servicio que brinda. Por cierto, google maps puede ser reemplazado por #OSM -> open street map. Importante tener siempre el GPS apagado y decirle a todas las APP's ¡que no significa NO! cuando mencionan #GPS. Las pocas veces que realmente se precisa, por ejemplo con googleMaps, se activa en el momento y se apaga en el momento. Razón: Los únicos datos seguros son los que no existen.

Siguiente paso importante es instalar f-droid: https://f-droid.org Para ello ahora si se puede activar el WIFI y/o insertar la tarjeta SIM al celular.
F-Droid es el repositorio de #APP's comparable con el #playStore de #google pero del mundo del #softwareLibre. Todos las APP's son gratuito. Todas las APP's tienen un apartado que informa, si es que sea preciso: "Advertencia, puede que partes de esta APP no te gusten". Es importante leer estos detalles siempre, aunque bien despreocupado, ya que esto son advertencias de puritanos mormones del mundo del software libre, los que por suerte existen, los imprescindibles del mundo de la computación. Leer este apartado enseña los detalles importantes en las APP's que hacen la diferencia y que de a poco nos crean un sentido común al respecto.

Tenes prácticamente todas las APP's pero #KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid! -> mantenlo sencillo, estupido! .. ya que son gratis y hechas por idealistas. Nada de propaganda. Nada de venderte la mas nueva actualización que no aporta nada nuevo pero hace obsoleto la compatibilidad y genera ingreso a "ellos" sin brindar valor agregado real. Lo que se encuentra en f-droid son simplemente aplicaciones pequeñas para que se pueda hacer lo que en realidad uno pretendía hacer. En otras palabras, sin #enshittification, como diría @Cory Doctorow.
Ay una APP en el f-droid que se llama #auroraStore. Ella da accesso al playStore de google sin registrarse y se puede instalar prácticamente todas las APP's que se pretende. Cosa que no se recomienda en absoluto, ya que prácticamente todas las aplicaciones del playstore que no están también en f-droid tienen fines comerciales y venden los datos de sus usuarios.
Es común que APP's de soporte para hardware o de servicios solo se encuentran en el playstore, por lo que si es útil tener dicho acceso.
Otra opción para acceder a APP's del playstore es por ejemplo el sitio: https://apkpure.com/ Este sitio permite bajar APP's que figuran en el playStore, ademas de la opción mas que interesante de acceder a versiones mas antiguas de una APP.

Went out tonight with a guerrilla arborist and planted pawpaw seeds along various waterways!
Pawpaws are a local native deciduous fruit bearing tree. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asimina_triloba) Not to be confused with papaya (also called pawpaws by some). These are green skinned fruits with yellow fruit inside. They taste kind of like sweet sticky melons with a hint of avocado? They taste amazing.
Their seeds are quite large and they require a period of freezing over winter so they'll germinate in spring.
This guerrilla arborist harvested seeds from last year, put them in a baggy with some sawdust and a little bit of water and chilled them in the fridge over the winter. We planted them today.
They'll sprout in about six months and start producing fruit in about six years.
I intend to harvest a lot of seeds this year and begin planting in earnest next year.
We're building out the local food forests.
Folks should eat for free.

A question about the different page option settings of accounts (friendica 2024.03). /settings/account/basic
Right now this page want's to merge from a standard personal profile page to kinda community profile page where only specific defined profiles can publish thru it's wall to the rest of the followers.
First thought was to stay as a single profile page, allow mutual friend relations to publish/write to this wall, and change all contacts that do not belong to the inner circle of profiles to followers only. Apparently this setting doesn't work, or doesn't work as expected. Security and privacy settings in: /settings
Is this a known issue or some kind of misinterpretation of this option?
Next possible option would be to choose to become a public community group page.
This option would imply a continuous attention to change every new contact to followers only, if in fact this would mean that the followers would not be able to publish to the group but receive publications. Also this setting would include the risk of being exposed to unexpected posts into the community of followers whenever the administration of the profile lags behind for some reason.
The option private group looks more promising in this regard and actually would be the same than being a personal profile page that checks new follow requests and than could change the setting to allow mutual friendship to post to the profiles wall or simply define a follower relationship. The [Experimental] notice, that actually exists like lot's of years already is a little bit confusing, or creates a certain reluctance to try this option. How experimental is this still as of now or could we perhaps ask the community to run a general test on all the options of the account settings in general together with a general feed back to sum this up and come to some definite setup, wording and explanations on the matter?
Hello everyone, More and more pods are shutting down and even if the code to allow an account to migrate from one pod to another is not officially merged yet (see the merge request), I didn’t want to stay without doing anything. So, I enabled it on my pod, https://diaspora-fr.org, which means that you can now move there, keeping with you your previous messages, photos and contacts.
I provide this feature with no guarantee, if your content is not properly migrated or anything else is not working, I won’t fix it. But it seemed to me that because pods are closing, we had almost nothing to lose anyway. Except that the import can’t be undone and can’t be retried later in the future. If you want to wait for it to be more tested, export your archive and try it later, not now.
If you still want to try this, follow those steps:
From the settings, export your data and your photos in two backups from your actual
Log in to https://diaspora-fr.org (if you don’t have an account on that pod yet, create a new one)
From the settings, click on the import button and upload the two archives in the dialog.
Be patient while the account is being migrated. Do not resubmit the import even if the import button is still available. It is running, just be patient.
If your pod is already offline (framasphere, joindiaspora, poddery…) but you downloaded your archives before it switched off, you can skip step 1 and migrate
I hope this is useful to some people.

Hi there, working on moving old friendica sites from a shared hosting to a VPS, I ran into the following problem I can't find a solution for. This actually happens with one 2021.04 instance but not with another (anymore), so I'm crosschecking all the settings but can't find how to solve this. Both sites were installed as 2012.04 from the start:

Different intents to fix this by changing or deleting the following settings from the console didn't work out:
Even more astonishing, sending the following setting with the console: /bin/console config system url https://sub.domain.com .. the site is displayed and works as it should be for a few minutes, and than falls back into the wrong behavior, like if the worker changes something when ever the cron kicks in. In that time span I can log in and even go thru the admin settings but this setting is not available.
Intents to modify the following specifications in local.config.php didn't work out either:

Das ist so sinnbefreit und selbstzerstörerisch wie mastodon zu schreiben und mastodon.social zu meinen. Als @couRage'erin dürftest du verstehen was ich meine. Ganz zu schweigen von der Tatsache das du bereits (zumindest mal) ein friendica Konto hattest, also in vollem Besitzt einer reshare Funktion warst.

Sprich, mastodon vom Handy zum fast and furious und friendica vom Desktop zum dezidierten Liebeschenken und und vernünftigen Texte aufsetzen.

Last but not least: Eine reshare Funktion für mastodon ist mir ehrlich gesagt schnuppe. Ich bin hier mittlerweile seit ~vierzehn Jahren ganz pragmatisch auf dem Trip nicht nur einfach das zu nutzen was die jeweilige Software mir bietet, sondern immer wieder work arounds zu finden für das was es nicht oder noch nicht gibt. Das ist so schön unbequem das meine "to think out of the box" Kapazität exponentiell ins unermessliche gestiegen ist. #Kruse nennt das Kreativität, ein Mehrwert der kaum zu ermessen ist.
btw Drükos sind und waren Drückerkolonnen und ich war bereits hoch erfreut das "wir demnächst Drückerkolonnen fürs #fediVerse bekommen", denn genau das brauchen wir. Auch wenn wahrscheinlich nur @padeluun ⁂ eine solche Idee und ihre Konsequenzen vollumfänglich verstehen würde ..
