@rl_dane I have fond memories of our local library, but my overwhelming fear of late fees made me not a huge fan of the idea of them if that makes any sense.

I love libraries, and have so many good memories from them, even though my local one was pretty tiny, and didn't have that many books it really broadened my horizons, and the librarians were great people suggesting new things for me to read both as I was moving from children/YA stuff to grown up books, and when I started reading in English instead of just in Norwegian.
