I enjoy reading interesting things (especially C.S. Lewis), playing Minecraft, working on FOSS, Mobile Linux, and messing around on my homeserver when I have time.

Enthusiast for all things Linux! Currently daily driving LineageOS (OnePlus 7), and Fedora Workstation (PC/Laptop). Also does minecraft server hosting for my friends, on a Fedora Server homelab. Python developer; Discord bots with Nextcord, dabbling in GTK apps + flatpak. Supporter of Urbanism and less cars!

Hailing from the Midwestern United States, but lived in Auckland, New Zealand from 2014-2019.

uspol / urbanism / anti-car Toggle visibility

i'm interested to see how the 25% tariff on cars impacts transit usage, if cars are more expensive then less people will buy & drive them, right?

i have a hunch that the u.s. just has to just.. break

at some point (here me out) the car-dependency, the healthcare, the late-stage capitalism, the far right, the wealthy 2%, it all feels just unsustainable

i'm hoping (fingers crossed) that at some point it all "snaps" (so to speak), and we can radically fix thw damage and get up to speed with the rest of the world with new urbanism, transit (local & national), universal healthcare, de-monopolizing, liberalism, etc.

that would be cool. but we'll see, maybe i should write something longer to elaborate on this
