Costco and Target took opposite positions after the Trump administration began to pressure private companies to ditch diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Costco resisted and reaffirmed its support for DEI, while Target dumped its programs. So how has it affected foot traffic for the two chains? Retail Brew takes a look.
@CultureDesk Speaking as a Costco shopper, I have to mention that the price of eggs at Costco probably has more to do with its uptick in foot traffic than its DEI position. I'm happy they're sticking to it, however, because I would hate to give up Costco.
